Recordings from a turntable, even a good one, will contain some low frequency energy or 'rumble'. To help clean up the file I usually filter rumble out of the recording. From the Waveform menu on the toolbar choose 'Filters'
There are a number of different options you can try, but a basic rumble filter will suffice for now.
